As a small boy Pepijn was curiously exploring the world. He always took a notebook and a pencil with him to draw and write whatever came up in his mind.
He looked carefully and was focussed on details.
Eager to learn how to draw people.
Eager to learn how things were technically made.
Eager to build, describe and visualize his own imagination.

Initially he practiced several drawing techniques like manga and caricatures.
Later, inspired by his role models Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo,
he started practicing anatomical drawings and historical painting techniques.
A mural fresco as his final exam project at secondary school was his first test of skill.

His oeuvre shows examples of several of his projects.
In some cases it provides not only the final result,
but also insight into the gathering of ideas, in-depth research and ‘the making of’.
